- Friday Feb. 1, 6:30 - 9:00pm: View, Meditation & Action
- Rinpoche will give a public talk on the the view, meditation and action according to the nine-vehicles of Buddhism. There will be opportunity for discussion and questions.
- Saturday Feb. 2, 9:00 - 5:00: Naga Offerings
- Rinpoche will give transmission and teaching on how to make offerings to the Nagas, from a terma of Dudjom Lingpa. The morning session will be dedicated to the verbal transmission and teachings, and in the afternoon we will prepare the offerings and go through the sadhana together.
- Sunday Feb. 3, 9:00am - noon: Tashi Tsigpa prayer
- Teachings and transmission on the Tashi Tsigpa prayer, written by Mip'ham. This is a condensed version of the Tashi Tsigpa Sutra (Managalam Sutra) that was composed by the great master Mip'ham, to be used as a daily practice. It is especially effective for gaining success in any endeavor and is often recommended in mirror divinations.
- Sunday Feb. 3, 2:00-5:00pm: Gyaltse Tsemo Sutra
- Teachings and transmission of the Gyaltsen Tsemo Sutra. This Sutra, known as the 'Victory Banner' Sutra is a famous teaching that Shakyamuni imparted to Indra, the god King, to defeat the demi-gods. Reciting this Sutra is a powerful method to gain victory in any conflict. This Sutra is also printed on prayer flags and displayed on mountaintops and other high places to raise glory and prosperity throughout the land.
- Thursday Feb. 7 6:30 - 9:00pm - LOSAR!
- This is the beginning of the new year (the year of the earth mouse) according to the Tibetan and Chinese calendar. We will be celebrating with a Shower of Blessing Tsog. Bring tsog offerings.
- Friday Feb. 8, 6:30-9:00pm: The Nature of Mind
- Rinpoche will give a talk on the nature of the mind, as viewed from Dzogchen, Mahamudra and Madyamika perspectives. There will be opportunity for discussion and questions.
- Saturday Feb. 9, 9:00-5:00: The Ngakpa Tradition
- Rinpoche will teach from the text , "An Historic Description of Awareness Holders of the Great Secret Mantra who are Resplendent in White Clothes and Long Hair," by Kunzang Dorje Rinpoche. (Note: you can download an English translation of this text here.) This is a perfect opportunity to clarify and ask questions about this important tradition from a qualified source.
- Sunday Feb. 10, 9:00-noon: Chokchu Munsel Sutra
- Transmission and teachings on the Chok-chu Munsel Sutra. This Mahayana Sutra which 'Clarifies the Darkness of the Ten Directions" is an important teaching for removing obstacles to one's path and one's life. It is another one of the Sutras which comes up repeatedly in mirror divinations.
- Sun. Feb. 10, 2:00-5:00pm: Tse-Do Tse-Sung Sutra
- Transmission and teachings on the Tse-Do Tse-Sug Sutra, also known as the 'Longevity Sutra' or Amitayus Sutra. This Sutra, which includes the repetition of the 100 names of Buddha Amitayus, is a powerful method of increasing one's longevity and removing obstacles to one's life. It is typically called for when one's life is in danger. It is said that even just by hearing the Sutra and the mantras, one's life will increase - even the lives of animals.
Divinations will be scheduled Feb. 4 & 5, 9:00 am to 6:30 pm.
